Job Title – Documentation Specialist
Location – Milton Keynes
Rates – £210.99 – PAYE or £241.65 Ltd/Umbrella
In Scope of IR35
My client is looking for a Document Specialist to join the team based in Milton Keynes for an initial period of 6 months with a view to extending. As the Document Specialist you will produce documentation and reports relating to amended timetable schedules, incorporating customer and industry needs in line with relevant contractual obligations.
What you will do:
Maintain data relating to train paths, including route clearance, route availability, load and length limits and business standard documentation.
Co-ordinate development of data relating to train paths with the Amended Schedule team, Train Operators and other internal planning offices.
Assist in compilation, validation and upload of amended schedules and related data to downstream systems to required timescales so that this information can be cascaded to other operational systems.
Accountable for the production of special documentation relating to the running of freight trains
Maintain lists of controlled documents, recipients, and delivery processes
Assist in the identification and implementation of quality and efficiency improvement initiatives
Undertake the role in a way that is consistent with, and reinforces, company values
Your experience will include:
Essential
Attention to detail
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Experience of Software systems
Microsoft office
Train planning system – 3 screens and therefore must be able to be flexible on looking at screens
Maintain control documents
Organisational skills
Timekeeping skills – quick turnaroundDesirable
Knowledge of train planning systems and processes, including relevant sections of Access Conditions
Understanding of the railway industry and special requirements for operation of freight trains.
Understanding of train service structure and commercial and practical implications of train service amendments
Proven experience in delivering to agreed timelines and standards
