Hugely successful group. exciting, Innovative and leading the way in the build of New Gigabit Britain, have a fantastic opening for an experienced Network planner, the role is largely desktop and the successful applicant will assist in supporting the organisation's Design Partners and the In-City Planners in ensuring that issued Feeder and Primary Node (PN) Job Packs meet the required standards as stipulated in the CF FFN Architecture Document. All issued Job Packs require to be ‘buildable’.
The Job holder will be required to Quality Check the incoming PN Job packs from the Design Partners. The Job holder will critically review the included Drawings for both Civils and Cable, SLDs and Jointing Schedules, SEDs and BOQs/BOMs. The Network Planner (FFN) will require to be able to highlight any Defects back to the Design Partner for resolution.
Responsibilities
* Quality Check (QC) incoming Job Packs from Design Partners
* Highlight any Defects back to Design Partners and ensure Defects are resolved prior to Job Pack issue
* Issue completed Job Packs to In-City Planners and City Build Team
* Actively validate properties that are placed in LOC to increase levels of serviceable properties where possible
* Whilst designs may be technically compliant, identify any significant opportunities to improve Cost Per Property
Essential
* An understanding of CF FFN Architecture (or equivalent
* An understanding all aspects of civil route planning in a FTTH context
* An understanding of all aspects of Underground fibre planning in a FTTH context
* An understanding of all aspects of AERIAL fibre planning in a FTTH context
* Full understanding of Local and National Authority regulations in respect to civil engineering works
* Ability to produce detailed Site survey packs, Wayleave packs and Network construction Job Packs (both External & Internal)
* Competent MS Office user
* GIS trained
