Full Time Hours: Working Hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm (Lunch 1 Hour), Monday – Friday (Overtime available at weekends)
Based at IQ Group Headquarters, Sky House Amersham.

Based in modern premises in Amersham, Bucks, IQ Glass boast the largest residential glazing showroom in the UK, where architects, clients and designers come to learn / view IQ`s impressive glazing applications. Next door is the largest Design Centre Showroom outside of London creating a real buzz about the locality.

The CAD Designer role:
IQ Glass UK is looking to add enthusiastic and intelligent design individuals to our busy design team of 13. The design positions are based at Sky House in Amersham. There is a detailed training structure in place for all employees. This is a fantastic opportunity to get a step on the ladder at a fast-moving organisation.
CAD Designer – The Applicant:
* A working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D) is essential.
*A general knowledge of construction and structures is essential. (Ideally residential)
*Any structural engineering knowledge or training would be advantageous. * Must be able to design, prepare, and clearly detail presentational drawings using AutoCAD Lt for issue to End Users/ Contractors and Architects.
* Amend drawings to clients and surveys, providing construction issue and take offs for procurement.
* Logical and systematic approach to problem solving for design queries and the ability to integrate products into building structures.
* Manage own workloads and meet deadlines while maintain a high level of detailing. * Must have and maintain a current, in-depth knowledge of glass and associated products or willing to learn rapidly. * Must have permission to work in the UK. * Must be within easy commuting distance (40 mins) of Amersham area. * Must be willing to undertake a variety of tasks and learn new skills.
*Good Team player and communication skills are essential
*Confidence to attend and hold design meetings with clients, architects and contracts managers would be a positive.
*2+ Years minimum relevant experience.
