What we’re looking for
We are seeking a Software Developer who will be responsible for developing, building, and supporting reliable solutions that achieve DRS business objectives.
The successful candidate for the Software Developer role will work within a team using an Agile approach to development. The Software Developer will be part of a dynamic and innovative team, working on industry leading products.
The role requires someone with a solid grounding in development who is able to actively participate in SCRUM ceremonies, peer reviews, work with Business Analysts, Architects and QC. You will produce quality code with good unit test coverage and complete all changes identified at code review or Functional testing. You will work to documented departmental procedures and methods and take responsibility for the management of implementation through effective breakdown into tasks, estimates and timely updates in Azure DevOps.
You will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft's .NET Framework, Visual Studio (Visual C#) and SQL Server. This would generally necessitate a relevant degree either in Computer Science or Engineering (or relevant field) and work experience in a similar role.
You will be naturally inquisitive and be keen to learn, along with good communication skills. Expected positive personal attributes include being: approachable, a team player, well organised, confident and resourceful.
