We have a fantastic opportunity for an Interim Chief Executive Officer to join our reputable client and charity on a Part Time basis on a 1 year Fixed Term Contract. This role would suit a candidate who has experience in a senior management role and ideally experience in a charity organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
– The CEO will be acting as an ambassador for the charity for campaigns to build relationships with stakeholders as well as develop long term strategy, budget and business plans.
– The successful candidate will be overseeing operations to ensure the charity operates within the annual budget and ensure management and HR policies are up-to-date.
– The CEO must have an ability to recruit staff and work with the management team accordingly as well as represent the charity at external events and publicity opportunities.
– Deliver the charity’s business plan and help win contracts from public bodies, secure funding from appropriate funders and potentially develop social enterprise ‘spin offs’.
– Supply regular reports to the Board of Trustees and attend trustee and sub-committee meetings.
– The successful candidate will play a key role in motivating and engaging volunteers, staff, beneficiaries and prospective donors.
Key Attributes:
– The CEO must have a strong ability to work in a small team environment and be able to motivate staff and volunteers as well as an ability to effectively promote the charity and its aims.
– Due to the nature of the charity, the successful candidate must have an empathetic and open minded personality
– Must have impeccable interpersonal skills to build relationships with a variety of individuals
– Must have a financial acumen to set and operate a budget with experience working with committees, trustees and boards
