Maintenance Engineer (x3) – Milton Keynes – £48,000 plus overtime, plus benefits

In this role you will be tasked with providing reactive and preventative maintenance solutions on a range of automated equipment and systems. You will focus on diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults, and ensuring the business runs to their full output efficiency.

JOB DESCRIPTION – Maintenance Engineer
The Maintenance Engineer will be required to operate and carry out service maintenance and rectification tasks on the Automated Materials Handling Equipment under the guidance of the shift team leader.
Your day to day responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer will include:
Undertake breakdown maintenance of site automation as required (ASRS/OSR system, Conveyors, all other equipment.
Carry out PPM of automation equipment and first line fixes of facilities equipment
Complete breakdown reports and shift logs including any issues arising on shift which may have or had an effect on the performance of the site equipment and / or the maintenance department using the CMMS.
Liaise with production operatives to ensure workload is prioritised correctly.
Undertake, improvement, repairs and modifications.
Assist in project installation work including cost reduction activities.
The planned and reactive maintenance and service of all the state of the art kit on site.
Working as part of a large on-site maintenance engineering team of over 30 engineers.
Mechanically you will mainly be replacing worn out parts on the conveyors which will include rollers, bearings and pulleys.
Electrical work will include reading through electrical schematics, utilising electrical test equipment such as multi-meters and fault finding on panels.
PPM / Breakdown maintenance on automated equipment
Panama Shift – Days & Nights (12 hours)
Electrical/Mechanical fault-finding on PLC's, single/3 phase, pneumatics/hydraulics
Continuous improvement projects
EXPERIENCE (Maintenance Engineer)
To be successful in your application for a Maintenance Engineer you will need:
A Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
Maintenance experience in a production, manufacturing or warehousing environment.
Alternatively, you could be from the Navy, Army or RAF with an electrical qualification.
Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer.
Electrical / Mechanical experience.
Electrical qualification – NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
