Education Consultant – GIS– maternity cover
Location: Aylesbury, Cambridge or Edinburgh (temporarily home based)
We are looking for someone to join our team as a GIS Consultant. This is a maternity cover role, which will start in December for up to 18 months. If you have a good understanding of the ArcGIS Platform and an interest in helping us drive customer success within Schools and Higher Education communities then we would love to hear from you.

The Position:
Working for us as a GIS Consultant and reporting to The Head of Education, you would be the trusted advisor to this diverse community helping us maintain existing relationships and expand the use of GIS across the education sector.
Your key responsibilities would be to:
* Supporting and extending the use of the ArcGIS platform in the education sector, ensuring ArcGIS is the GIS of choice.
* Find innovative ways to promote and encourage the use and teaching of ArcGIS
* Create and author teaching and learning resources including producing video material to support users, taking the time to really understand our customers’ needs
* Assist with the set-up of ArcGIS accounts
* Maintain a network of contacts within the education community and relevant bodies
* Gain a good understanding of the curriculums, ensuring our offers align to these
* Develop and maintain a good understanding of the ArcGIS platform
About you:
We are happy to consider candidates with less experience but the necessary skills and a passion for the education sector. This maternity cover GIS Consultant role would ideal for you if you:
* Have a strong working knowledge of the ArcGIS Platform and the ability to relate it to geography teaching and the education sector
* Are great at managing your time, able to prioritise your workload and deliver to deadlines
* As the face of our online training, you will need to be confident and articulate with the ability to create content for, produce and ‘star’ in our video’s
* The ability to take the initiative and work independently and as part of a team
* A keen interest in the Esri portfolio and technology and an understanding of future trends
Because of the types of data and clients we work with, all our positions require successful candidates to undergo a basic security clearance and to have current, unrestricted entitlement to work in the UK.
The location: You will for the time being be based at home, but when our offices are open again you could work at least part of the week from one of our offices in Aylesbury, Cambridge or Edinburgh. You would also need a UK driving licence and be happy to have regular overnight stays to attend events and conferences when they start up again,
