Backend Developer: do you want to be at the forefront of the next phase of our development and deployment of our new state-of-the-art online software?

We are seeking a Backend Developer with skills in React to deliver this working in a small, dynamic team following software best practices to lead the development of financial and production technology solutions for use in the media arena.

The skills we seek for the Backend Developer are:

* Java: 3-5 years work experience developing Java software (senior 5+ years)

* Spring, Spring Boot

* Worked in an Agile environment

* Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.

* Experience building scalable systems

* Senior – design experience with scalable systems

* Worked with Service Oriented Architecture

* Experience in developing RESTful web services

* Experience with Test-Driven Development

* The desire and aptitude to learn new skills: IE front-end development, API and/ or microservices

A blend of (not essential):

* Spring

* Spring Boot

* Apache

* React

* JavaScript

* NodeJS

* Docker/ Kubernetes

* HTML5/ CSS

* RDBMS experience.

Beneficial Experience

* Microservices/ API knowledge

* Knowledge of NoSQL databases

* Experience of NodeJS

* Deployment automation using Ansible & Jenkins

* Secure coding practices

* Experience of cloud
