Job Title: SAP ABAP Developer
Location: High Wycombe, Maidenhead, Slough, Reading and Uxbridge Area
Salary: Up to £52,000 + Bonus and Benefits
Evolve Recruitment are currently seeking an SAP ABAP Developer to join a world class leader in manufacturing and marketing consumer goods. This is an exciting opportunity for a SAP ABAP developer to work on various projects across Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
* As the SAP ABAP Developer, you will provide input into the design of SAP enhancements and roll outs, offering proactive advice to functional consultants and business partners
* Analyse business requirements and creates functional specifications for ABAP programming work and all module interfaces, translating requirements into an appropriate system design and version control of deliverables
* Code application components
* Ensures sustainable, scalable, flexible and template-conform solutions with good performance as well as developments that are coded in a way that complies to SAP best practices
* Project management of multiple small concurrent coding projects
* Drives resolution and is responsible for assigned tasks and their deliverables
* The SAP ABAP Developer will ensure timely delivery of developments
* Document, prepares and executes unit test plans and supports project test cycles
* Perform quality reviews of documentation, code and test plans
* Demonstrate a logical and structured approach to time management and task prioritization
* Guide and manage external ABAP developers as and when needed
* Provides periodic progress updates and development status
Key Skills:
* Excellent development skills of the following areas with a minimum of 3 years hands-on coding experience;
* SAP ABAP and SAP ABAP OO, Data Dictionary, IDOC message processing, BADIs/BAPIs, ABAP Object programming, SAP User exits/enhancements
* Fiori, SAPUI5 preferred
* Strong debugging skills in ABAP alongside a good understanding of trouble-shooting
* Knowledge on SAP Gateway configuration and development
* Forms development with Adobe PDF and Smartforms is preferred
* Good experience of working on a highly customized SAP system.
* Knowledge of SAP functional areas particularly SD, LE and WM is a plus
* Solid knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
* Willingness to learn new systems and technologies
* A SAP ABAP Developer with good communication skills and prior experience working in an international team
* Minor international travel will be required for the SAP ABAP Developer position
