Software Development Engineer
Home based with travel to Milton Keynes and European offices

Swarco Traffic are a leading supplier of smart, active signage solutions and the latest parking and traffic signal equipment in use across the UK and Europe. We require a skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer with experience of Cloud based systems to support the development of our Common Integration Platform in the UK, working with resources, both internal and external, across Europe.
You will play a key role in the Agile development of a core software product, help maintain the highest quality and security standards, design new services and enhance existing ones using Message-Broker-Communication (MQTT), design new Angular modules and libraries, and generally get to work on cutting edge systems development for the future of our urban environments. You will also form close cooperative working relationships with other SWARCO development partners in Germany, Scandinavia and elsewhere in Europe.
The successful Software Development Engineer will have skills and experience in the following:
* The development of Cloud based software
* Experience of developing in C#, Javascript, TypeScript
* Angular modules and libraries
* Implement, document and test software solutions using Node.JS (TypeScript), .NET (C#).
* Understanding of Containerisation, Docker and Kubernetes
* Utilisation of development productivity toolsets such as JIRA, Bitbucket and Confluence
* Ideally degree qualified in BSc Comp Sci or similar, or higher
* Ability to work multi-nationally, drawing on expertise across Europe
* Professional communication skills
