A fantastic opportunity to join a stable staff team in a residential children’s home as a Team Leader. The home is run by an excellent and supportive Home Manager and Deputy Manager, both of which have extensive experience within children’s residential care. They will provide you with support for your career progression and a warm welcome upon joining this organisation.
You main duties and responsibilities as a Team Leader will be:
Shift leading and time management
Attending senior meetings and contributing to the continual development of the home and company
Working with young people on a 1:1 and 2:1 staff ratio and maintain positive working relationships
Attending multi agency meetings
Completing home visits and risk assessments
Updating and contributing to care plans and adapting to any changes that arise
Completing regular supervisions with Support Workers, offering professional support and completing any actions
Key working and providing support for key child in all areas of development
Taking responsibility when dealing with petty cash and updating records accordingly
Assisting the Home Manager and Deputy Manager with administrative tasks, household management and team recruitment
Taking overall responsibility for the home in the absence of the Home Manager and/or Deputy Manager
Essential candidate requirements:
A minimum of one year's recent experience of working as a Senior Support Worker / Team Leader leading shifts in a residential service for looked after children aged 16 and under
A Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare / NVQ3 Working with Children and Young People in Social Care / NVQ3 Children and Adults Health and Social Care
Driving licence
Able to work long day shifts and sleep ins
