I am seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for my client, a medium sized residential developer, for a permanent position to run three sites ranging between 20 and 60 units based in and aound Amersham.

The projects are a combination of both new build and refurbishment and are all still at an early stage meaning the successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will not be inheriting problems or mistakes from their predecessor.

The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing the tendering process and liaising with the commercial team. They will be overseeing 3 projects and will be expected to work with full autonomy and as a result will be expected to be capable of being stand alone.

Duties will include preliminary budgets, sub contract ordering, variations, cost reporting and work closely with the production and design team to not just be involved with commercial aspects but viability with the project to make sure it runs as smoothly as it can as a whole.

The client have a requirement for a Senior Quantity Surveyor as they have had an unexpected rise in workload due to projects they are currently working on ramping up for upcoming phases combined with new developments being passed through planning and requiring strong commercial staff to push them forward. They are seeking to get the Senior Surveyor on board as soon as possible.

They are seeking a candidate with specifically strong residential experience with a tier 1 developer or main contractor experience and a candidate who has previously worked the full life cycle of projects and is comfortable with all commercial duties including procurement, package management, sub contract negotiation, variations and final accounts

The ideal Senior Quantity Surveyor candidate will have;

* A developer background on residential projects

* Experience on residential new build and/or refurbishment projects, typically concrete frame.

* A stable, reliable CV with good spells of longevity

* Experience with their competitors

* Been involved with projects from cradle to grave

* Degree qualified or equivalent
