The Entertainer is the largest family-owned toy retailer with over 170 stores in the UK and a rapidly growing online and international business. We have opened over 30 new UK stores in the past two years and we have ambitious plans for further growth. As part of the brands International growth strategy we have recently acquired the Spanish toy retailer Poly which has seen an addition of 55 shops to the retail estate in Spain. We also acquired the Early Learning Centre, which will see an addition of 400 shops internationally and 78 stores in the UK. We are now looking for an Export Planning Administrator to be based at our head office in Little Chalfont, Amersham.
Based within our busy logistics team and reporting into the Export Planning Coordinator the Export Planning Administrator will be responsible for managing the flow of export documentation for all International shipments. As Export Administrator you will be working closely with other departments including buying, quality assurance, finance and our international operations and merchandising teams
Export Planning Administrator – Responsibilities
– Produce export documentation for all International shipments leaving our Distribution Centres.
– Working with relevant internal teams to collate key information from the necessary departments to ensure the smooth dispatch of goods.
– Liaising with DC’s, shipping companies and international partners to organize collection of goods.
– Communicating any amendments or shipment delays to relevant partners and internal departments.
– Manage collections from the DC to ensure outbound workflow is phased in line with overall outbound operations.
– Build and maintain strong working relationships with international partners/shippers.
– Ensure all export documentation is produced in line with UK customs requirements to enable tracking of international shipments.
– Contributing to develop business export processes.
– Ensuring effective administration management, analysis and reporting.
Export Planning Administrator – Required Skills
– One year’s exposure in a relevant export operation is preferred although not essential.
– Administration background is essential for this role.
– Understanding of export documentation requirements or willingness to learn.
– Commercially aware with strong organisational skills
– Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
– Ability to independently manage your workload whilst working collaboratively with wider teams
– A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, in particular Excel and Outlook.
As Export Planning Administrator you will be a commercially aware administrator who ideally has some previous experience within an export, shipping or logistics led role. With an ability to quickly gain a good understanding of systems and processes, the Export Panning Administrator will bring strong communication skills, knowledge and passion to the role. You will be a key player in helping to deliver a first-class service to our International partners. This is a role that will offer autonomy, challenge and the genuine chance to add immediate value and take ownership of the role.
