A highways services provider is looking to recruit a Claims Assistant to join the Claims team in Aylesbury. The role will involve for the investigation and interrogation of systems, data & media sources and to provide evidence in order to support an S58 defence and to recover costs from Third Parties. The Insurance Claims Assistant will also be responsible for the recording and actioning of emergencies, incidents and rectification of priority defects arising on the highway network.
As Claims Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Processing claims for and against the Client under the guidance of the Insurance Claims Coordinator
Supporting the Insurance Claims Coordinator by investigating and communicating results to the Client
Maintaining the asset registers of Red & Green claims
Taking and actioning calls through the Emergency Response Line in connection with defects / incidents arising on the network during working hours
Receiving information from colleagues regarding out of hours incidents
Maintaining a detailed log of all incidentsThe successful Claims Assistant will have:
Microsoft Office skills (Word, Teams, Excel and Outlook)
Excellent verbal and written communication
Organised and able to meet deadlines
Ability to self-manage
Strong interpersonal skills
The ability to work across teams and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels
Ability to manage and prioritise duties
