We are currently partnering with a high growth Consumer Goods business that are looking to recruit a new Buyer to join their team as part of some exciting growth plans and continued expansion within the business.

You will be working with a team of highly experienced industry experts that are looking for individuals who demonstrate a strong level of passion, hunger and entrepreneurial spirit to play a key role in managing supplier relationships.

This role will be responsible for managing the buying function within the business, managing end to end relationships with a whole suite of suppliers – ranging from complex material suppliers to day to day sundry office items. You need to demonstrate a level of commercial awareness in what you do to find the most cost effective prices for the business, whilst building strong, long-lasting relationships with suppliers that can partner with the business as they grow.

The key responsibilities for the Buyer will involve:

* Negotiate and agree commercially viable prices on materials and services for the business.

* Generate and build long-standing relationships with a range of suppliers

* Ensure that administrative and support related activities are carried out.

* Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients

* Make use of a range of sourcing strategies to acquire new suppliers.

* Communicate with sales, production and senior management teams.

The ideal candidate for the Buyer role will have the following background:

* Experience working as a Buyer or within a Buying function

* Ideally, have some experience working in a Consumer Goods, Manufacturing or related industries.

* Most importantly – have passion, flexibility and adaptability in your approach to work.

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high growth environment.

* A team worker – you often hear this on job descriptions, but the ability and openness to working in a team based environment is very key within this role and this business.

* Have an entrepreneurial spirit and commercial acumen
