You have the chance to join a market leading food-manufacturer that are passionate about their products, & have invested across all of their sites in the UK. They are in need of a Multi-Skilled Engineer to cover their Weekend Night shift to be based from their site in the Milton Keynes area. You will be working on both mechanical & electrical equipment, on reactive & preventative maintenance.

Description

This business are in need of a Multi-Skilled Engineer who will be working as part of a small team, leading the implementation of efficient reactive & preventative maintenance processes. This is an exciting opportunity to be able to interact cross functionally in order to improve their engineering efficiency. You will also be required to work alone as well as part of a team & some key responsibilities include:

Agree/understand upcoming activities and priorities with Maintenance Manager

Review plan with Maintenance Manager for any up and coming availability of assets for P.M. and remedial work opportunities

Liaise with operations and engineering teams to ensure that your activities are understood and briefed to the teams

Ensure accurate information recording on CMMS/Shift reports/log books

Manage standards of conduct & performance by "leading by example"

Ensure all required components are identified for planned engineering tasks

Support Maintenance Manager to ensure that training needs are identified in order to achieve the required standards of performance, quality and Health & Safety

Complete all documentation relevant to the tasks performed

Ensure that the maintenance of all machinery is carried on timely basis in alignment with the PM plan

Ensure operating and maintenance documents diagnostic instructions are available

In conjunction with Maintenance Manager identify training & development need
Shift Pattern: Friday – Sunday 17:30 – 05:30

Profile

A Multi-skilled Engineer, ideally with experience within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. The successful applicant will have:

Recognised electrical and/or mechanical qualifications

Understanding of PLC & computer controlled equipment

Competent electrical / electronic fault finding and analysis skills

Able to work under own supervision or as part of a team
