Job Title: Mortgage Services Sales Manager
Basis: Full Time Permanent Employed Role
Location: Based within commutable distance of Milton Keynes with a mix of home and office based working subject to change in line with covid restrictions
Target: You must be Fully CeMAP Qualified with at least 36 months Mortgage Advice experience plus a Minimum of 18 Months Mortgage Sales Management experience to be considered
Rewards: Basic salary of £40,000 to £50,000 D.O.E plus bonus and commission to give a realistically achievable OTE of £60,000 to £70,000 plus benefits*
Working Hours: (Permanent, Full Time Role) Mon-Fri 9AM-6PM but subject to hours required to fulfil the role

Connells Group Mortgage Centre (GMC):
This role is based in our GMC division, GMC is dedicated to delivering our Lifetime Mortgage Service to our existing customers. We review the mortgages of over 30,000 Lifetime Members each year.
As a GMC Sales Manager you will be responsible for the oversight and management of up-to 10 Mortgage Advisers. The role represents a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Manager who is able to get the best from a team and is capable of delivering the results we expect.
Sales Management Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for the certification of the advisers under the span of control
Develop a team of Mortgage & Protection Advisers to achieve their personal business objectives and specific performance and quality standards set by the company
Support the recruitment, development and retention of Mortgage & Protection Advisers in line with the Company’s recruitment plan
Fulfil the role of Supervisor as defined in the Training and Competency Scheme, ensuring that the requirements of this scheme are implemented effectively at all times
Work closely with your colleagues in the mortgage and protection administration teams to ensure that a robust set of processes are followed to efficiently sales
Act as champion for the mortgage and protection sales process
In conjunction with the Sales Director, implement, monitor and evaluate business plans to achieve the required growth in revenue from a range of income streams
Ensure that team members maintain best practice and adhere to all relevant legislation, promoting a consistent, high quality, customer-focused approach to business processes ensuring that the principles of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) are adhered to at all times
Create the culture and environment to support the Group’s core objective of delivering fair outcomes for all of our customers in all aspects of our dealings with them
Maintain and produce management information that enables effective monitoring and improvement of sales performance
Establish and maintain relationships with all staff within the business to ensure total integration and delivery of overall business objectives
Deliver a challenging and rewarding environment which encourages staff to continually develop, add value, improve ways of working and grow personally
Maintain appropriate levels of knowledge & skills at all times to remain competent to fulfil the role of Supervisor
Required Knowledge, skills and qualifications:
Ability to lead and influence a team of Mortgage & Protection Advisers
Well-developed analytical skills to identify trends from management information and sales observations with the ability to implement actions and Training & development plans required to improve performance
Ability to monitor, evaluate and develop people
Ability to effectively implement processes and make changes quickly and efficiently
Works consistently to improve performance with all team members
Highly competent PC user including Outlook, Excel and Word
An excellent knowledge of Financial Services core products i.e. Mortgages, Life Assurance, Critical Illness, Income Protection and Buildings & Contents Insurance
An understanding of the culture and style of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the scope of Conduct Risk and how business models should be based on a foundation of fair treatment of customers at all times
A good level of technical and e-commerce knowledge in order to train Mortgage & Protection Advisers to promote our services efficiently and effectively using a mortgage sourcing software solution.
Excellent inter-personal and presentation skills, with outstanding communication and listening skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and simple format
Minimum 18 Months demonstrable Mortgage Sales Management, with full CeMAP mortgage qualification or equivalent
Highly organised, with a disciplined and structured approach to work
