Are you a Database Developer / Designer that is looking for that next step up in your career? Would you like to get into Big Data and predictive analytics?
We are working exclusively with one of the UK's Top Data Analytics organisations who provide very swanky data solutions for leading retail and FMCG businesses including Morrisons, Muller, Coop and easyJet to name but a few.
Due to their significant growth and ambitious business plans, they are looking to build a brand new data environment and want this person to help them on that journey.
You will have the opportunity to step up and have a real say into the architecture of the new data environment, building your skills and knowledge to take the new data solutions to the next level.
As you grow there will be further opportunity to develop your skills and responsibilities.
You could lead a team or move into formal architecture – they're open to support you!
ROLE: Database Developer / Database Developer

LOCATION: Cranfield – remote working
ESSENTIALS: (If you are missing some of the below please do not let this put you off! Let us have an informal chat!)
– Experience working with and analysing diverse datasets
– An appreciation of data warehouse design – whats good and whats bad
– Good understanding of advantages of different database design patterns (Kimball, 3NF, Star Schema, Snowflake, Data Vault)
– The ability to turn logical design into technical solutions
DESIRABLES:
– Software lifecycle management
– Leadership or mentoring skills
– Experience working with or implementing robust test regimes
– DBA experience
– Experience of Grocery supply chain advantageous, but demonstration of abstracting specific business logic to generalised concepts is equally important
