A precision engineering company with a very loyal client who has been investing in new CNC machines and training is looking to expand further. They work in a variety of markets including Oil & Gas, Medical, Aerospace, F1 and defence.

Job Profile

As the Production Engineer, your main responsibility will be program in GibbsCam and maintain a supply of tools, achieve efficient production processes and procedures and be a involved as a senior member of the team with the growth and development of the business. You will need to be versatile and be happy to work across various areas of the business to improve productivity.

Duties

* Develop and grow the production departments from the CNC Milling and CNC Turning sections through to the CADCAM / Offline Programming section

* Knowledge of GibbsCam is a must

* Provide and set standards the production floor

* Develop and grow a S5 and lean manufacturing environment

* Work closely with the Company Director towards quality standards and industry accreditations

* Determine all machining methods across the business

* Produce set-up sheets and tooling lists

* Examine new machine tools, cutting tools and associated equipment

* Train and assist engineers and other employees such as operators and apprentices when needed

* Be involved in cross-functional project teams in improving the efficiency of the manufacturing process

* Lead the introduction of new machine tools, providing support to the shop floor during the initial periods

Skills & Experience

* Production Engineering

* Programming in GibbsCam

* Excellent knowledge and understanding of CNC machining

* Competent in programming CNC machine tools, using CAM would be an advantage

* Continuous Improvement and Trouble Shooting experience

Benefits & Hours of Work

* 39hrs per week

* 08:30 – 16:30, Monday – Friday

* Various bonuses depending on personal and team results
