We are working with a main contractor delivering a smart motorway project. They require a Section Engineer with a minimum of 5 years highways experience. The successful candidate will be managing packages including structures, earthworks and drainage.

Responsibilities

Developing and reviewing safe systems of work
Programming and co-ordinating site activities
Daily and weekly co-ordination of sub-contractors
Ensuring compliance with safe systems of work
Writing and reviewing Inspection and Test Plans for works (ITP)
Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with approved ITP
Ensuring all activities on site are recorded through daily diaries
Raising technical queries relating to the design
Attend daily co-ordination and weekly planning meetings
Deliver workforce briefings and inductions
Civil Engineering related qualification
Minimum 5 years' experience delivering Highway projects in a site role
Site Management Safety Training Scheme SMSTS
Other training (work at height, IPAF, TWS, TWC, AP, etc) to be listed on CV.
