This is an amazing opportunity for an assistant manager / depot supervisor / depot foreman to join a fast paced expanding company with lots of opportunity for development and progression and help support the companies ambitious growth plans. This is a national company employing 400+ people.
The main parts of the role include:
As Depot Supervisor you will have a pivotal role in the depot, ensuring the safe running of the depot and yard. You will be responsible for managing yard and workshop activities and operations, ensuring the depot runs efficiently and effectively subject to legislation, company regulations and procedures and maintaining the highest levels of customer service.
Responsibilities:
* Maintaining the standard and quality of all the kit in the Depot.
* Reporting any non-conformity to management
* Ensuring picking lists, checking in returns and Goods In / Out procedures are followed
* Controlling the repair process
* Prioritising work to meet order requirements
* Advising hire desks of issues affecting order deadlines
* Overseeing the assessment, pricing and repair of equipment damages and losses.
* Ensuring lorries are loaded / unloaded safely
* Completing maintenance record books for plant and tools.
Requirements:
* Proven ability to manage and motivate staff (3+ years in supervisory role)
* The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Strong IT Skills (MS Word, Excel and proprietary database systems).
* The ability to work in a fast paced, challenging environment.
* Health and Safety knowledge.
* Technical background with the ability to read engineering drawings, experience within a construction environment
