About The Role
EKFB are currently recruiting for Planners with various backgrounds to join the HS2 Project. We're looking for people with experience in Earthworks, Highways, Construction or Utilities Planning.
You will support the Planning function to prioritise and co-ordinate construction and design activities to maintain delivery of a section of the C23 Mains Civil Works contract.
We need you to build, optimise and update the project plans during Project execution (from engineering process to Project take over). You'll need to support the Project Managers and Planning Manager in all scheduling related matters both internally and externally with the client.
Obtain data on Project progress across all functions such as procurement, design, logistics, consents, construction etc. from Project Managers, Subcontractors or other project personnel. Analysing and responding to Subcontractors project plans in order to set robust Contractual baselines schedules then the progress monitoring thereafter.
You must be able to challenge internal and external stakeholders to ensure are plans are valid, realsitic and appropriate. Critical path analysis, giving support to the Planning Manager and Project Managers in taking actions to improve and optimise Construction project plans. Assist the Commercial, Change and Risk Functions.
You must be able to articulate the programme in presentations, conference calls and meetings to internal and external parties. To provide regular, timely and accurate reports (to agreed formats and timetable) on planning matters for both internal and client stakeholders. Liaise with project controls and BIM teams to develop practical solutions. Take a pro-active approach and reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others.
About The Candidate
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Extensive experience in a Planning role.
Recognised professional body membership such as ICE, APM or PMP qualified, professional with planning experience gained in a private sector organisation. Ideally in a multi-site, operational or contracting environment.
Previous experience with Power BI.
Experience in Earthworks, Construction, Highways or Utilities is essential to be considered for this role.
