Site Manager / Supervisor to oversee pavement and highway re-instatement, traffic management. SWQR / NRSWA + black CSCS. Own transport essential. Bicester / Milton Keynes. £275 – £300 / shift UTR. Contract role, immediate start available
Working for the contractor you will be overseeing the vegetation clearance, excavation, ground formation, drainage and duct laying, to re-instate pavements and highways following on from the installation of new laybys and passing bays on roads between Bicester and Milton Keynes. Practical knowledge / experience in Traffic Management is essential. There will be 4-5 live sites at any one time, and you will be responsible for ensuring that the necessary permits and paperwork are in place to carry out the works.
Roads, Paving, Drainage, Hard and Soft Landscaping or related schemes experience essential. You must have the relevant Projects Manager's CSCS card; SWQR / NRSWA certification and SMSTS would be advantageous
Site Manager / Supervisor. Able to manage the site operations and control the works in line with the Company's Health, safety, Environmental and Quality Procedures.
Experience and Qualifications. At least 2-3 years in an equivalent role; a good track record with current and previous employers, Civils contractors running similar schemes. Good communication skills. You must be IT literate and capable of producing RAMS and working with the main contractor's procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
To monitor work to ensure necessary permits are in place
To agree Traffic Management requirements for jobs
Ensure that all sub-contractors under supervision are competent, fully trained, are aware of all requirements and have been fully approved, appraised, and / or inducted before starting on site
You will be required to ensure all work on site is carried out safely and to adequate standards
To be aware of commercial reporting requirements and to work with the QS reporting variations
To order materials and plant if neededRemuneration £275 – £300 per shift Monday to Friday.
