Compliance and Regulation Manager
Buckinghamshire
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + car allowance
A fantastic opening has arisen for a Compliance and Regulation Manager to work for an Electricity Distribution Network Operator, who own and operate HV and LV electricity distribution network assets, providing power connections to residential, industrial and commercial customers across the UK. This position will also be remote working.
As the Compliance and Regulation Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Interface as required with the industry regulator (OFGEM)
Supporting the company's membership with input to industry wide groups such as INA (inc Regulatory & Charging Sub Groups), ELEXON, GEMSERV, MRASCo, DCC
Operate as main business interface for various code panel governance e.g. DCUSA, BSC, MOCOPA, SECAS
Continually monitor DCUSA, DCP's to formulate an impact statement & risk / control register on the impacts to the business
Ensure the company's published DUoS charging methodologies are compliant to industry legislative requirements and implementation codes i.e. CDCM, EDCM
Understand the impact of OFGEM implemented changes following TCR (Targeted Charging Review) & SCR (Significant Code Review) and develop compliant charging strategies and methodologies
Maintain a working knowledge of all regulatory and legislative policies and industry codes which have an impact on activities to ensure all business activities are compliant with regulatory codes, licence conditions, data protection compliance and statutory business guidelines
Support senior team including Managing Director, Technical Manager and Head of Connections
Support all aspects of business activity as required Experience, Qualifications & Skills:
Suitable economic, commercial, regulatory or statistical/financial qualification
Sound understanding of the economic market drivers within a regulated utility market
Experience of cross industry liaison preferably within the electricity or gas distribution industry
Highly analytical with the ability to articulate and demonstrate charging principles and methodologies to customers, funders and other market and industry participants
Ability to review and interpret the impacts of regulatory legislation and provide an appropriately measured, sound and compliant response
Business related financial and analytical experience preferably gained within an asset owning activity
Excellent skills in the use of various technologies and software to develop business and market performance modelling
