Invision Recruitment are currently representing a Major Construction company who are seeking to recruit a Purchase Ledger and Compliance Clerk. The function of the role is divided between Purchase Ledger and Compliance, my client can offer a great work environment with strong opportunities to progress within the business.
* Provide a professional and efficient purchase ledger function by matching and checking high volumes of invoices, building relationships with other team members, buying and suppliers
* Ensure supply chain is compliant with all Company Policies and Procedures as well as HMRC requirements.
* Process purchase ledger invoices and credit notes efficiently & accurately onto account’s software, checking they match the purchase order and have a valid delivery note / timesheet and then if they don’t match write for a credit from the supplier
* Checking of timesheets received to ensure only valid hours are claimed
* Payment runs
* Ensure the invoices are loaded to the correct project code and with the correct nominal code
* Reconcile Supplier Statements, deal with any discrepancies
* Accurately file invoices and delivery notes, as well as archiving when required
* Manage supplier accounts by telephone and email
* Maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers
* Other Ad Hoc duties as requested by line manager
* Compliance checks on supply chain and address any non-compliance (including compliance packs and insurances)
Required Experience
* 2 years + in an Accounts Payable role
Desirable Experience
* Knowledge of or experience working with IR35
* Knowledge of or experience working with CIS
* Auditing or compliance experience
* Will consider a Finance graduate with 6 months experience
* Construction Industry knowledge
Basic Salary is £21k -£23k (negotiable + benefits package
