Support Worker for a Residential Care Home Chesham.Bucks

Our home can provide a safe and stimulating environment made up of 3 bungalows all together on one site, and we have 14 customers who have cerebral palsy/other additional needs. Our team of staff support our residents in all aspects of their life. This includes going out into the community to college, shopping, meals, theatre etc. as well as activities within the home and support with bathing, dressing and eating and drinking.
You will be required to support our residents with intimate personal care tasks.
Full training for the post is given. In the first 2 weeks, you will complete training and shadow core staff to learn the role and get to know the customers. We work as a team to support customers.
Hourly rate £9.00

Support workers responsibilities
Be able to demonstrate a warm, person centered and affirmative approach to people with physical disabilities
Administer medication in line with our procedures
Demonstrate written communication skills, sufficient to contribute to a record keeping system
Helping people using services perform activities of personal care and activities of daily living such as bathing and using the toilet.
Support worker will need to have
NVQ/QCF Health and social care (preferred)
Experience in a similar role
Drive (preferred)
Full Time contracted 40 hours Hours of shifts are 7am-2.30/3pm and 2pm-9.3010pm or some staff work a longer day 7am – 9/10pm with a 1 hour unpaid break in between, night shifts are 9.30pm-7.15am. We work every day, i.e. Monday – Sunday and we particularly need cover evenings and weekends.
